Live events do not offer second takes, so most of our work happens before the doors open. We learn your run of show, walk the venue, map every cue and camera, and build backups for the things that can fail. By the time your first speaker steps up, the hard part is already done. What is AV production for events?
AV production is the design and on-site running of the audio, video, lighting, and streaming for a live event, including the crew that operates it. It covers everything from microphones and sound to screens, cameras, and the livestream, managed as one connected system.
How is AV production different from renting equipment?
Renting gives you gear and leaves the setup, operation, and troubleshooting to you. AV production includes the planning, the on-site crew, and full accountability for how your event looks and sounds. You are hiring a team to run the show, not just a box of equipment.
How much does event AV production cost?
Cost depends on the size of the event, the number of rooms and stages, and the gear it calls for. Every event we take on gets a custom quote built around your specific program, so you are only paying for what your event actually needs.
Should we use the venue's in-house AV or hire an outside company?
In-house AV can be fine for simple meetings. For events with multiple speakers, a livestream, or a recording, an outside partner usually gives you more flexibility and more attention on your specific program. We are happy to run the full operation ourselves or integrate with your venue's in-house team, whichever serves the event best.
Do you offer livestreaming and multi-camera event coverage?
Yes. Hybrid and livestreamed events are a core part of what we do, with multi-camera switching, professional audio, and a stream engineered to stay stable for your remote audience.
How far in advance should we book?
The sooner the better, but four to six weeks gives us room to plan properly, and two to three months is ideal for larger multi-room programs. That said, we have pulled off polished events on much tighter timelines. If your date is close, reach out anyway.
Can you help with the run of show and creative direction?
Yes. Beyond the technical work, we can help shape the flow of the event, the cue sheet, and the on-stage moments, drawing on a background in storytelling to make sure the production serves the message.
Do you travel for events outside Seattle?
Yes. We are based in Seattle and produce live events and video wherever your project takes us, with experience across 32 cities and 3 continents. Travel, lodging, and transport for events outside the Seattle metro are outlined upfront and approved before booking.
