Event Production for Forterra
Overview
- Project: Spring Fundraiser Event Production
- Client: Forterra
- Category: Event Video / AV Production
- Sub-Category: Nonprofit / Fundraising Events
Background & Challenge
Forterra is a nonprofit land conservation organization addressing the climate crisis through its Land for Good™ mission. Each year, they host high-profile fundraising events featuring keynote speakers—live programs that demand reliable AV execution, professional event coverage, and polished highlight content for post-event marketing.
Like many nonprofit donor events, these productions come with real constraints: venues not designed for AV, limited budgets, and programming that evolves right up to show time. Forterra needed a production partner who could manage complex technical requirements while remaining flexible, calm, and solutions-oriented when plans changed.

Our Role
Since 2024, JSB Video has provided event video, photography, and AV production support for Forterra’s annual Spring Fundraisers. Our scope includes full AV production—sound reinforcement, wireless microphones, digital audio mixing, video switching, and presentation playback—alongside on-site technical direction, event photography, videography, and post-event highlight reels.
For the 2025 Spring Fundraiser featuring bear ecologist and podcaster Chris Morgan, we coordinated with Forterra’s internal team, their marketing agency, and the keynote’s technical requirements to deliver a seamless experience for 175 guests. This involved venue walkthroughs, run-of-show planning, and real-time troubleshooting when the venue AV presented unexpected challenges.

Results
After three successful events together, Forterra’s VP of Strategic Communications shared this feedback:
“This was our third time in a year hiring JSB Video for Forterra Land for Good fundraising events. Jordan is reliable, a delight to work with, and consistently delivers high-quality results. At our March 2025 event, he navigated surprise twists and turns with venue A/V system challenges like a pro and saved the evening. I wouldn’t do an event without him now.”
